DCSC Foundation Grant Application 2012
The Delphi Community School Corporation Education Foundation provides funding for innovative educational programs and projects for which school funding is not available. To that end, we are pleased to invite you to participate in our grant process.
GUIDELINES
Application deadline:
Applications shall be submitted by April 1.
Applications shall be delivered or sent to the Corporation Office.
( applications should be addressed to the Foundation Grant Comm.)
Eligibility:
Projects must cover instructional enrichment.
School funding must not be available for the project. (please verify this)
No salaries shall be eligible for funding.
Field trips must have an educational component.
Capital expenditures and equipment may be considered if outside the realm of normal school funding.
Projects utilizing additional funding coinciding with school funding may be considered.
Implementation of funded projects must be completed by the end of the following school year.
Each project must have a completion date.
Funding:
Grant request may range up to $2500.
(In past years emphasis has been placed on spreading the wealth. This year we will try to reach as many students as possible but have chosen to look for more creative and innovative proposals)
Grant approval will take place in April.
Grant awarding will be announced at the end of the school year.
Appropriations will be dispersed at the time of awarding.
Some grants MAY require proper claim forms, receipts, invoices or estimates
to be submitted to the Administrative Office prior to funding.
All assets purchased with grant funding shall remain the property of DCSC.
Reporting:
A final report is due 30 days following the project completion date.
This report must have an evaluation of results and a narrative describing the projects’ implementation and impact on the students.
A photo(s) should also be included in the report.
Documentation:
A copy of expense records (bills or invoice statements) WILL be sent to the Foundation prior to Dec.31 following the date of awarding. This shall be done to avoid taxable implications. This documentation is the sole responsibility of the recipient and shall be sent to the Corporation Administration Office c/o The Education Foundation or sent to The Education Foundation PO Box 181 Delphi IN. 46923 by the above mentioned date.
Judging criteria:
Number of students impacted
Cost per student
Originality and creativity
Need for the program and educational value
Pilot projects that should become part of the school budget in the future
Projects with continued application over multiple years
